Course Description

Answer the call of your soul to immerse yourself in Spirit. Now! Complete the life-transforming “Awakening the Inner Healer” Kundalini Yoga Kriya, which attunes the vibration of the individual to the universal flow. It creates a healing bridge between the elements of earth and ether to synchronize You and the Universe as One.
Taught by Yogi Bhajan as a method to ignite the Kundalini energy and free us from negative thinking, the kriya meditation we will practice allows us to live peacefully, creatively, non-attached and vast. Over a period of 10 days we will be meditating with mantra during various hours of the day & night, with special musical accompaniment. Yoga, [along with live gong], will revitalize and heal the body. You will be under the compassionate guidance of two experienced and inspiring teachers, Guru Dharam Singh Khalsa and Siri Sat Kaur.
The beautiful Aurovalley Ashram offers the perfect setting for this practice, creating a stable and powerful environment for this specific day-by-day experience of raising Kundalini. A dear, talented family of ragis (musicians skilled in the art of devotional singing) called the Wahe Guru Family from Amritsar will be joining us at Aurovalley to create a truly special, sacred vibration during our meditations.WaheGuruFamily

Aurovalley Ashram

Aurovalley AshramSituated near the banks of the Holy River Ganga, Aurovalley is located between the spiritually rich cities of Rishikesh and Haridwar, home of the classical yogis. Inviting and cozy, the Aurovalley Ashram is a sanctuary for silence and spiritual growth and the perfect environment for deep meditation. The lovely grounds provide opportunity for outdoor strolls and an idyllic environment to rest and recuperate from hectic city life. Swami Bramdev, the spiritual teacher and founder of Aurovalley, offers teachings based on the philosophy of Sir Aurobindo and The Mother. During our stay we will partake in Aurovalley Ashram's daily satsangs, where we gather with Swami Bramdev and other students to discuss spiritual truths and teachings. Day trips will include visits to sacred sites and temples, the city of Rishikesh for shopping and the Ganga Aarti divine light ceremony at Parmarth Niketan.
Ten whole days will be filled with the “Awakening the Inner Healer” kriya, sadhana, kundalini yoga practice, chanting and silence. The kriya includes meditation at different hours of the day and night, with live music accompaniment.
After the ten days of focused spiritual practice, we relax for two days at the peaceful, world class Ananda Spa in the Himalayas.spa treatment

The Golden Temple, Amritsar (Punjab)

Our final destination will be the Golden Temple in Amritsar, also known as Hari Mandir Sahib (divine temple). The Golden Temple is a sacred living shrine where hundreds come daily to be inspired and uplifted by the holy writings of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. All hours of the day and night, sacred Gurbani music is played. This creates a continuous sound current of the Shabd Guru, an infinite vibration that encourages the mind to recognize divinity within one and all of creation. The Golden Temple is built of marble and gold in the middle of a lake of healing waters sacred to Lord Rama. The water is known as the Amrit Sarovar, “pool of nectar.” Since time immemorial, it has been known for its power to heal all ills.
Designed to serve humanity, the Golden Temple is a place of worship, meditation and Guru-ka-Langar, a free kitchen where an estimated 35,000 people are fed daily in an environment based on equality of all (forgoing the caste system).
We will be visiting the Golden Temple at different hours to meditate, listen to kirtan, dip in the sarovar, partake of langar, and simply be in the sacred vibration. An option to perform ishnaan seva is available, for those who would like to help wash the marble floors of the temple in the early morning hours. There is also shopping and delicious dining in Amritsar.
The Ista Hotel will be our base for this portion of the trip. This sister hotel of Ananda has also received an illustrious five-star ranking. It offers fine dining, spa services and is a short ride to the Golden Temple.

Yogi Bhajan- "The purpose of Yatra ("Yaa-Traa"): "Yaa" means "must", "Traa" means "swim across". That is Yatra. So we go from here to designated holy places where we have no other work but to get up in the morning to meditate, to go to beautiful surroundings. Sometimes our mind hustles us but we do conquer it. This is the purpose of Yatra"
